CFUW KW members are, again, encouraged to participate in the “Voices Empower:  Walk to Break the Silence!” on November 21, 2026.  This 6-km walk from Uptown Waterloo to downtown Kitchener and back supports women and children experiencing domestic violence.  Registration costs $6 in honour of the woman who loses her life every six days to domestic violence.  A CFUW KW Advocacy team has been created.  This event is a fundraiser, with donations going to the Women’s Crisis Services of Waterloo Region – Anselma House & Haven House.  The donation portion is not mandatory. Members are encouraged to reach out to family and friends to join the CFUW KW Advocacy team on the walk. Let’s meet at 1:00 p.m. beside the Bell in Uptown Waterloo.  Don’t forget to wear purple!
