Afternoon Games - dust off the old board games lurking in your closet. Or choose a card game, with the entire According to Hoyle book as your guide. Something new each month, with rotating hostesses choosing the games and providing light snacks and beverages.
Booker Book Club
Yes
Booker Book Club members discuss books nominated since 1969 for the prestigious Booker Prize. Members meet monthly for a light dessert and an animated discussion about the selected novel.
Cafe aux Ladies
Yes
Café aux Ladies meets on the 2nd Wednesday every month at a different café for a casual chat and a coffee (or tea) and maybe something sweet to nibble on. 
Come Spin A Yarn I
Yes
Come Spin a Yarn I members get together monthly at members' houses, on a rotating basis, to clack knitting needles, and to swap patterns, tips and stories. We occasionally go on road trips to top up our yarn stashes.
Daytime Social Bridge
Yes
Daytime Social Bridge II consists of 16 players with a schedule drawn up where each person hosts twice during the season, and we have a potluck luncheon at the end of the year.
Dining Divas
Yes
Dining Divas prepare delicious, healthy recipes, with casual elegance. Group members take turns picking a theme and hosting a dinner, with the host preparing the main dish. We rotate the menu that includes appetizer, soup, salad, vegetables, dessert and wine.     
Draw, Sketch & Doodle
Yes
Draw, Sketch & Doodle members will be outdoors sketching landscapes, architecture, figures, and animals, while on inclement weather days we will be indoors at homes, libraries, events, stores, etc. for still life, portraits, and possibly, lessons. All skill levels welcome!
Duplicate Bridge I

Duplicate Bridge I members have been meeting twice monthly for over 40 years!  We have a light snack as we begin playing and enjoy the camaraderie along with the challenge of getting the best pair score. (Are we getting competitive in our old age?) 
Franco Divas
Yes
We meet on the third Friday of the month at 1:30 from September until May. Our aim is to practice our French, the language many of us used in our jobs. We enjoy getting to know one another through the various topics that we pick for our meetings, and when conditions allow, we meet in each other's homes.
Franco-Femmes Actives

Francophones et francophiles, venez. Objectifs: Vivre un peu en français, en cuisinant, en jouant des jeux de société, en échangent nos pensées sur divers sujets... films, et articles. Et en visitant des sites intéressants dans la région.
Games and More

Games and More is for anyone who enjoys board games and cards from the past and present. We meet once a month in members' homes, and enjoy light snacks while playing an old favourite, or learning something new.
Gourmet Low Carb Dinner Group
Yes
Members take turns hosting and preparing the courses. Host prepares and demonstrates main course. Chosen participants prepare and demonstrate appetizer, side courses, desserts and drinks. Morning meeting at 10 am to gather and prepare lunch around 12:00 pm.
Health & Nutrition
Yes
Health and Nutrition I helps our members make the best possible choices about food, exercise and lifestyle. Activities include personal research, discussions, field trips and presentations.  We also share fabulous healthy recipes and learn ways to modify recipes to make them a healthier but still tasty choice.
Indigenous Issues Study Circle
Yes
The purpose of our group is to learn about and discuss ongoing issues facing Indigenous Peoples. Participating members take turns researching and leading discussion of topics of their choice. Members also read the Territorial Acknowledgement at general meetings and contribute to the newsletter.
Mid-week Hikers
Yes
Midweek Hikers hike between one and a half and two hours, at a leisurely pace, along different trails around the region. In the winter, hikes depend on the weather conditions. At times a coffee or lunch stop is planned at the end.
Pedal Pushers
Yes
Pedal Pushers meets at 9:30 on Wednesday mornings from Mar-Oct, to ride on local city or countryside trails. Bikes adapted for trail riding are recommended (e.g., a hybrid bike). The length of the ride and trail changes each week, and we often stop for coffee or lunch along the way.
Pub Games
Yes
What could be better than a refreshing pint and some quick games? Games with friends! We meet on the last Monday of the month at a local pub, have lunch, drink something.. and to slow down the drinking, we play some games.
Soup Luncheon
Yes
Soup Luncheon members, each in turn, prepare and host one luncheon, including  appetizer, wine, soup, rolls, coffee and tea. Along with the delicious food, we enjoy a wide range of conversation topics mixed with loads of laughs.
Sunday Hikers
Yes
Sunday Hikers meet for morning hikes on the second Sunday of the month, with an occasional stop for coffee. Members are encouraged to make suggestions and lead hikes if they wish. Everyone hikes at their own pace - no super athletic abilities required.
Theatre Plus
Yes
Theatre Group members are offered opportunities to attend a live theatre or other special event every two months. Teams of three are responsible for selecting the event, purchasing tickets, collecting cheques, lunch or dinner reservations (optional) and arranging car pools if the venue is out of town. 
Travel I

Travel I members meet once a month, except in December, in a member's home, to travel vicariously across the world.
Wine Tasting II
Yes
Wine Tasting II meets monthly for approximately two hours. Each member takes a turn at hosting, choosing a selection of four wines for the group to sample. The evening always proves to be interesting with our conversation catching up on everyone's monthly adventures.
A Concept Shared
No
A Concept Shared. Suppose you come across a TED Talk, YouTube video, or Power Point presentation (max. 30 min) with something stimulating, new or controversial that you think might appeal to others in a 45 minute virtual discussion meeting. Each member would lead one discussion during the year, sending out a video link on the topic a few days ahead for members to watch prior to the Zoom meeting. We will keep the group small and resource technology very simple to start.
Afternoon Games Too

Afternoon Games Too is for those who enjoy board games and card games. We meet monthly at member’s homes with the hostess choosing the game and providing light snacks and beverages.
Antiques
No
Antiques' members discuss various topics relating to antiques and collectibles.  Most meetings are held in members homes but there are occasional outings
Bid Euchre
No
Bid Euchre members will teach anyone who wishes to learn. All that is required is a willingness to learn and an enjoyment of cards. Bid Euchre is more complicated than Euchre, but less complicated than Bridge.
Book Exchange
No
Book Exchange members each buy one recently-published book and once a month, passes it on to the next person on the list. 
Bridge
No
Bridge II members - in between delicious desserts and great conversation - manage to get in three rounds of five hands each. This offers both a good challenge for our minds and a wonderful opportunity to socialize.
Bridge V

Bridge V is an informal/discussion bridge group. 
Come Spin a Yarn Too

Come Spin a Yarn II gets together once a month in each others’ houses, and with every stitch we share our stories, dreams and plans for our next projects. From each other, we learn new techniques, new websites, and new tricks.  
Contemporary Books

Contemporary Books members meet in each other's homes monthly to discuss interesting books chosen at our September meeting. To accommodate room sizes, our group is limited to 14 members.
Duplicate Bridge I Too

Duplicate Bridge II

Duplicate Bridge II meets monthly to share laughter and fun while trying to improve their duplicate bridge skills. We encourage the novices, cheer the experts, and love to see who can bid the winning hands. A different member hosts each month.
Games Night

Games Night members take turns hosting, which involves providing light snacks and beverages, selecting the game(s) for the evening, and explaining and teaching the 'house rules'. After a couple of practice rounds, members try their luck playing the game(s).
Gourmet I

Gourmet I sets a monthly theme, and rotates to each member's home. We celebrate milestones and enduring friendships.
Gourmet II
No
Gourmet II members meet monthly at a member’s house. The hostess chooses the recipes and brings them to the meeting prior to her hosting. She prepares the main course and the others choose a recipe from her list (or wine) and bring that.
Gourmet III

Gourmet III members research and prepare cuisine , often based on a theme. We take turns hosting and providing the entrée while the other members bring the other courses for the evening’s meal. 
Gourmet IV

Gourmet IV’s members continued to travel around the kitchens of Canada and the world when we gather each month. The conversation is always lively as we discuss the delicious recipes and everything else happening in our lives - great fellowship and fun!
Hablando Espanol
No
Hablando Espanol members get together to speak Spanish with a native speaker who helps and corrects participants. This group assumes that the participants speak Spanish.
La Jasette

La Jasette is a new activity group to meet other members En Francais, to use their French skills in an informal chit chat via Zoom. We are living in a unique period where company is needed, so the plan is to meet twice a month for appoximately one hour En Francais "dans un salon Zoom".
Les Franco-Divas

Voulez-vous parler avec nous? members already have a working knowledge of French, and welcome opportunities to improve their fluency in the language. But we do strictly adhere to our rule that we only speak French from the moment the hostess opens the door.
Let's Sing

Let's Sing is the perfect venue for ladies who like to lift their voices in song to sing Broadway tunes and all the old favourites. The group, accompanied by a piano, takes to song on Tuesday afternoons in a condominium common room (with room enough to social distance and still hear each other).

Novel Lovers

Novel Lovers' members nominate, collate and vote upon book selections online by mid-summer. At our September meeting, we finalize the schedule for the coming year, identifying leaders, hosts  and providers of light refreshments.
Out to Lunch

Out to Lunch meets for lunch each month from September to June at a local restaurant to enjoy the multitude of tastes and cuisines that abound in our region. Members pair up to take a turn at arranging one group outing for the year.

Out to Lunch Too meets for lunch each month from September to June at a local restaurant to catch up with friends and explore the multitude of dining options available in the region.
Pop-Up Rendezvous

Pop-Up Rendezvous member spots an event (show, sporting event, seminar, etc.) of interest and doesn't want to attend alone, it is broadcasted to the group members, to see who else is interested in attending.
Reading Between the Wines

Reading Between the Wines is a spin-off from another group that discovered they shared a passion for reading in addition to enjoying dining together. For now the group will meet virtually, and will decide if they can accommodate new members once the pandemic is behind us.
Travel III

Travel III is a daytime group that enjoys fellowship and sharing travel experiences.
Wine Tasting I

Wine Tasting I meets monthly from September to June. We taste wines made from various varieties with suitable food parings. Delicious and fun!
